12 Black Girls Unapologetically Yachting The Turkish Riveria: Your Group Trip Could Never!
The ladies of The Suitcase Squad had a time in Turkiye!
The dazzling waters with the dramatic mountains was the perfect back drop for a day of rest and relaxation on our last day in Antalya.
So let’s start from the top!
We were on a 10 day group trip around Turkiye. We had already visited Istanbul and Cappadocia and were on our last day in Antalya. Of course the trip was expertly curated to include a yacht day with matching swimmies, so we booked the Yacht Company AYA Yachting who provided luxury pickup from our hotel and dropped us off at the marina.
Once greeted by the office administrator, we were escorted to our yacht, the Harem. The crew had decorated the yacht with balloons and made us feel so welcomed on arrival.
We set sail on the turquoise waters, turned the music up on the speakers and popped open the bottles of prosecco. While underway, we danced, had shots and the Captain let us drive the boat!
Our first stop was majestic Duden Waterfalls, an unbelievable waterfall and the most famous in Turkey. The we visited pristine Turtle Island, that was just as picturesque as the photos.
The entire trip lasted 5-6 hours and we docked for a while where we got an opportunity to jump in the water, rent jet skis and use the sea bob.
The crew served us a traditional Turkish lunch and it was yum! They prepared Sea Bass, 5 kinds of Turkish appetizers, salad and Turkish style meatballs.
Our trip host was celebrating her birthday and they sure enough brought out a beautiful birthday cake with candles and serenaded her. Imagine 4 Turkish men singing you Happy Birthday on a Yacht! Sign me up!!
Of course no yacht day was complete without the obligatory Tik Tok, so everyone got in formation as we started rocking to the sounds of Davido's "Unavailable". And can I say we nailed it!
After docking the crew escorted us off the vessel and we bid farewell to the crew. At the front of the Marina, our sprinter was waiting for us to shuttle us back to the hotel. A day well spent indeed.
Tips for booking your yacht day in Antalya:
1/ Make sure to find a reputable company. (do your research)
2/ Book at least 3 months in advance because busy season will have you left out!
3/ Only beer and wine was included in the package, so be prepared to pay for anything else that you would like to drink. We were allowed to bring 2 bottles of champagne only.
4/ Have cash on hand to tip your Captain (typically 10% - 15% of your charter fee is standard)
5/ Bring your playlist and Bluetooth speaker (If you want to ensure you have the music you want!)
